Mr Bean invites you to Notting Hill Carnival!

The biggest street party in Europe Notting Hill Carnival is taking place in London at the end of August, when the streets of West London will be filled with Caribbean dances, flavours, music and other cultural experiences. Three days of Carnival always attract millions of people to the area, and here are some best tips if you are joining in the event.

To mark the occasion we have reskinned Play London game that now brings you directly to the celebrations of Notting Hill Carnival. The cosmopolitan neighbourhood is famous not only for the carnival, but also for providing setting for the eponymous movie starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. Watch a movie in a plush leather armchair at one of London’s oldest cinemas that can fit up to 50 cinema-goers. The film programme covers a wide range of quality mainstream and art house films, and a bar serves quality food and drinks. Marvellous spot for a cosy evening!

Discover Portobello Road Market and its antiques

Browse stalls selling everything from fruit, music, clothes to antiques at this famous street market. Portobello Road market has been running since the 1800s, but became especially famous for its antiques in the 1950s. Everyone can find some goodies here that will remind of London.

Visit the Tabernacle

The Tabernacle is a bar & kitchen with a theatre, conservatory and garden. Enjoy live music, cabaret, comedy and great food in this arts centre, housed in a historic building that hosted Pink Floyd and The Clash in the 1960s and 70s. Exciting!

Mr Bean and Irma got some fancy looks for the event! Irma changed her dress to a bright yellow and a sparkling feather headdress, while a colourful mask was Mr Bean’s choice for this update to celebrate Notting Hill carnival in the Play London with Mr Bean game.
